Miui9 is the latest released Android custom interface operating system created by Xiaomi for its Mi devices. Recently Xiaomi has announced official Global Stable update of Miui 9 for several Mi devices. Miui 9 is better known for its user interface and features. So today i am back here to address you an amazing guide so that you too can run Miui 9 on your android devices. You can do this by porting Miui 9 rom for your android mediatek devices.

How to Port Miui 9 on Mediatek?

Miui 9 has been ported to many android devices including Mediatek,Qualcomm & Spreadtrum platforms. These rom has been ported by Developers. But with this guide you too can port Miui 9 for your mediatek device and become a developer. To port miui 9 on your device follow the below given steps properly.
This guide is for Mediatek 64 Bit devices with Kernel 3.18.19

Follow below steps:

NOTE: DO NOT REPLACE ENGINEERING MODE APP
  • Delete folders from Port ROM
  1. system/etc/firmware
  2. system/etc/mddb
  • Modify .xml file to match Device

  • Copy folders/files from Stock ROM
  1. system/etc/firmware [folder]

  3. system/etc/agps_profiles_conf2.xml

  6. system/lib/hw/gps.mt6753.so
  7. system/lib/hw/gralloc.mt6753.so
  8. system/lib/hw/hwcomposer.mt6753.so
  9. system/lib/hw/lights.mt6753.so
  10. system/lib/hw/memtrack.mt6753.so
  11. system/lib/hw/mmsdk.mt6753.so
  12. system/lib/hw/sensors.mt6753.so
  13. system/lib/libcameracustom.so
  14. system/lib/libshowlogo.so
  15. system/lib64/hw/audio.primary.mt6753.so
  16. system/lib64/hw/gps.mt6753.so

  • Copy these files to fix front flash + front video recording (Copy from K4 Note)

  • Edit build.prop

  • Apply RIL Fix for MIUI
Unpack your stock rom and port rom boot.img & copy these from stock boot.img to port boot.img
  1. boot.img-kernel
  2. boot.img-ramdisk_offset
  3. boot.img-tags_offset
  4. ramdisk/fstab.mt6735

Important Instructions

  • Modify all files with MT6797
  • Compare all lines between mt6735 and mt6797 files
  • Rename all lines from mt6797 files to mt6735 (Example: mount all/fstab.mt6797 >> mount all/fstab.mt6735)
  • Rename all mt6797 files to mt6735 (Example: init.mt6797.rc >> init.mt6735.rc)
  • Repack boot.img
Please note that you must have to follow the guide perfectly in order to port Miui 9 on your Mediatek device or else you may encounter several issues including Bootloop. If you may encounter bugs of any issue that you can handle then you can comment below so that i can help you fixing them out.

After reading this guide, I am damn sure, You can easily Crossport rom from these chipsets to another chipsets. Yes! MTK rom porting is super easy. You can easily crossport roms to your MTK device without any bugs. New MTK devices get launch every day and buying device, you feel sad as there is no custom rom, but you can port rom for your device by your own.

After Long Time A New Post In Blog Which Is Awaited Post Directly To The Point Here Is Guide For Porting Lollipop Based Rom(Except Cyanogenmod)

Requirements:
  1. Your Stock Rom
  2. Port Rom (Which You Can To Port)
  3. Notepad++(If Any Editing Needed)
  4. A Working PC with windows OS Installed
  5. Brain
NOTE: Take Backup Of All Your Setup By Recovery And Don't Point Your Finger On Me Are Blog Are Any Dev 

Here I Am Just Posting The Method I Know And Booted Many Rom's Almost Bugless

1. Open Stock Rom Folder In New And Also Port Rom Folder In One More New Tab(Side-By-Side)

2. Replace Boot.img From Stock To Port Rom Folder

3. Open System Folder in Both Stock And Also Port Rom Folder

4. Open Folder System/bin Replace pq & vold From Stock To Port Rom

5. Open Folder System/etc Replace Wifi,Bluetooth,Firmwares From Stock To Port Rom

6. Open Folder System/lib Replace egl & hw Folder From Stock To Port Rom

7. Open Folder System/lib Replace Following From Stock To Port Rom
  • All Lib Starting With "libaudio"
  • libcamalgo.so
  • libcamdrv.so
  • libcameracustom.so
  • libsensorservices.so
  • libsync.so
  • libvcodecdrv.so 
 8. Open Folder System Replace Vendor From Stock To Port Rom

9. user file 
system/usr/keylayout/generic.kl

9. Open System/build.prop Compare Following With Stock To Port Rom If Any Changes Required Change Them
ro.sf.lcd_density=200
ro.product.model=Lava iris x1 grand
ro.product.brand=Lava

10. Now Open Meta-Inf And Navigate To com/google/android/updater-script and edit mounting points according to your Device

11. Congo You Ported A Rom ,Now Compress Port Rom In A Zip Flash And Enjoy



Stuck on bootlogo or black screen comes after boot logo = replace libMali.so from any working rom for ur device.
Location - system/lib

Screen upside down = open build.prop of ur port rom with notepad++ find this line ro.sf.hwrotation=180 and change 180 to 0 , if it is already 0 then change it to 180.

Download file for lava iris x1 grand

Now zip the rom and flash the rom!!!

[ex: 240 but your dpi maybe deferent]

Replace following file from STOCK to PORT

Flipped touch screen:
Replace following files from STOCK to PORT
system/lib/libinput.so
LED not working:
Replace following files from STOCK to PORT
