Everyone heard the news about the CyanogenMod. The company which was shut down on 31st December. This was one of the best Android ROM which was having the amazing features. The CyanogenMod was known best for its customization. CyanogenMod discontinued and the latest ROM is launched which is Lineage OS Android ROM.
There were too many devices which were having the CyanogenMod ROM installed. They were getting the latest OTA updates now all these will be discontinued and they won’t be getting the latest updates. If they know changing the ROM they can do so and enjoy LineAge OS.
There were too many disputes internally in the Cyanogen Mod and the ROM shutdown. The Cyanogenmod didn’t break totally just the source code and feature was continued to the new ROM which is LineAge OS.

There are a number of unofficial builds available for most of the phone on XDA forums and also on the Android supported forums. How to Install Lineage OS ROM
- Download the ROM and Gapps on your phone SD card on internal memory.
- Turn off your phone and boot your phone into recovery mode.
- Click on Backup and take a complete backup of your ROM.
- Now, click back and press Wipe and then wipe your phone data just slide it.
- Now, simply click back and press install.
- Search for your ROM and move the slider and then the ROM will be installed.
- Make sure that you install the Gapps the same way you have installed the ROM.
- Reboot your phone and you are done with installing the ROM on your device.

My Review:
This ROM takes a lot of time to install. You need to have a lot of patience if you want to install this ROM on your device. It is working fine and there are very fewer bugs in this ROM. It will be solved in the latest builds of this ROM.
You can’t restore the backup data it will throw the error of system UI. You need to take a complete backup and everything works fine.
